TaeRa Franklin is a principal attorney in the firm’s technology/intellectual property group and a registered patent attorney. TaeRa’s practice is focused on patent preparation, prosecution, and litigation by leveraging her knowledge of emerging technologies.

TaeRa has experience working with domestic and international patent applications across various industries, including electric, pharmaceutical/biochemical, and mechanical. Her in-depth technical experience includes standards-related wireless communications technologies, software, artificial intelligence/machine learning, cybersecurity, energy distribution and management systems, medical imaging systems, product packaging and more. 

She also has assisted in patent litigation matters before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the International Trade Commission and federal district court.

In addition to her patent experience, TaeRa is fluent in Korean and conversant in Japanese.
