Wallace is a partner in the complex litigation/dispute resolution group. He represents clients in state court and federal courts, as well as in arbitrations, administrative proceedings, and appeals. With over 20 years of experience, Wallace uses common sense, strategic thinking, and zealous advocacy to achieve results for his clients.

Wallace received his undergraduate degree from the Honors College at Texas Tech University with a double major in finance and economics before attending Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he was an editor for the International Law Review Association. Wallace and his wife, Lauren, are proud parents of two daughters.

  • Represented plaintiffs and defendants in over 40 patent cases litigated in court, covering a wide variety of technologies, including electrical-mechanical systems, computer hardware and software, and life sciences.
  • Won a $10 million verdict in a patent case involving motion detection devices in the Northern District of Texas.
  • Won a defense verdict of no infringement on behalf of a manufacturer of tactical fiber optic connectors in the Eastern District of Texas.
  • Represented a company offering livestreaming systems and services in a patent case in the Eastern District of Texas; defeated a motion for preliminary injunction and then invalidated the asserted patents in IPR proceedings at the Patent Office.
  • Represented a vending machine manufacturer in a patent infringement suit against two main competitors resulting in favorable settlements before trial.
  • Represented a major airline in multiple cases involving data scraping and commercial use of its website; obtained injunctions to stop the unauthorized activity.
  • Won a jury trial for a plaintiff in a case involving telecom contracts in Tarrant County, Texas.
  • Won a bench trial for a plaintiff in a securities fraud case in Dallas County, Texas.
  • Won a jury trial for a plaintiff in a commercial fraud case in Dallas County, Texas.
  • Obtained summary judgment for a defendant in a case asserting fraud and breach of fiduciary duties in Collin County, Texas; the plaintiff was required to pay the defendant’s legal fees following a successful appeal to the Fifth District Court of Appeals.
  • Defended a telecom company in a suit over pre-paid calling cards in Dallas County, Texas; obtained a defense verdict for returns of defective cards.
  • Defended a bank against claims for unpaid commissions and partnership profits; obtained a defense verdict in a jury trial in the Northern District of Texas.
  • Represented plaintiffs and defendants in numerous trademark cases, successfully prosecuting and defending claims for injunctions and damages.
  • Successfully defended securities fraud cases brought by state enforcement agencies in Texas, Colorado, and Ohio.
  • Successfully defended multiple FINRA securities actions and investigations.
  • Obtained summary judgment for a defense contractor accused of fraud and deceptive trade practices in multiparty litigation.
  • Successfully prosecuted subrogation claims on behalf of insurance companies involving catastrophic property losses due to product defects and negligence in multiple states.
  • Represented plaintiffs and defendants in over 20 non-compete cases, including successfully obtaining and defending against TROs and temporary injunctions.
  • Defended officers and directors on $100 million breach of fiduciary duty claims by Chapter 7 Trustee.
  • Represented a purchaser of land in a $5 million dispute regarding restrictive covenants on the property.
  • Defended a hotel owner in an $8 million dispute involving claims of corporate waste, breach of contract, and fraud.
  • Represented a buyer in a $10 million dispute against sellers of a sign manufacturing business for failing to honor a purchase agreement.
  • Represented a governmental taxing authority in a $25 million collection dispute involving oil and gas interests.
  • Represented a real estate investment trust in a dispute against a commercial lender over a dishonored $150 million lending commitment.
