Georgiana Nikias is a principal attorney practicing in MWM’s award-winning litigation group. She represents clients in copyright and trademark litigation, business litigation, commercial real estate litigation, employment law, products liability, and art law in both state and federal court. 

Georgiana’s clients include public and private companies, corporations, real estate developers, among others. In addition to advising clients in business tort, professional liability, intellectual property disputes, contractual disputes, and consumer class action matters, Georgiana also reviews and structures a broad range of commercial contracts, including purchase agreements, partnership agreements, and NDAs for commercial clients. 

Georgiana received her J.D. from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law. Before law school, Georgiana earned her Master of Studies in World Archaeology from Oxford University and her B.A.s in English and Interdisciplinary Archaeology from the University of Southern California, Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences. 

  • Race Winning Brands v. Gearhart. 8:22-cv-01446-FWS. Central District of California. Employer action against employee who left to work for a competitor. Trade Secret, Cyber theft, breach of contract 
  • Carroll Shelby v. Halicki (Case No. 820-cv-01344 MCS (DFMx) in the Central District of California), a high value dispute over the Shelby GT500CR vehicle and its alleged impersonation of the “Eleanor” car character from the movie Gone in 60 Seconds, acting as Second Chair at trial; 
  • Reina Castro v. Bang Deok, et al. (Case No. BC540307 in the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles), acting as Second Chair at trial and successfully arguing a Nonsuit Motion; 
  • Developed an intellectual property due diligence strategy for the audio-visual art installation Last Whispers, an immersive, experiential work dedicated to the extinction of languages (https://www.lastwhispers.org/); 
  • Designed and executed comprehensive litigation strategy for series of lawsuits involving $25 billion beverage company; 
  • Oversaw outside counsel in high profile celebrity lawsuit filed against $10 billion entertainment company.
