Munck Wilson Mandala unanimously elected Amanda Greenspon and Marc Kaliser as new partners of the firm, effective January 1, 2019. Greenspon is a member of the firm’s technology/intellectual property law group and Kaliser is a member of the firm’s corporate law group.
“Amanda and Marc have demonstrated tremendous commitment to the business of the firm. They have delivered results both as professionals in the legal industry and as highly capable business developers. Amanda’s trademark and copyright practice continues to expand into new markets and her involvement with S.H.E. Summit has led to significant relationships for the firm. Marc has built a unique real estate and private equity transaction practice that answers a high demand legal service in the North Texas market,” said managing partner William Munck. “Both Amanda and Marc serve as positive examples to our younger attorneys of what qualities we seek in our partners at Munck Wilson Mandala.”
Greenspon joined the firm in 2012 as an IP associate with impressive trademark and copyright experience; she has managed the soft IP group since 2015. Her unique experience in portfolio management runs the gamut from assisting clients with brand development to bringing actions enforcing MWM’s client’s marks. Greenspon is frequently sourced in legal stories on trademark and copyright infringement disputes. Her leadership has led to the firm building a robust trademark practice and her commitment to equal opportunity for women and minorities in the workplace has led to the firm becoming the lead sponsor of the S.H.E. Summit in Dallas (www.shedallas.com). Greenspon, who is located in South Florida, will be leading the firm’s efforts to open a Miami-based office in 2019.
Kaliser joined the firm in 2015 as a corporate associate representing clients in corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and finance matters. His skill in advising clients on both the buy-side and sell-side with respect to equity and asset purchases led to Kaliser developing his niche practice focused on real estate assets. Today a large percent of Kaliser’s practice is dedicated to real estate clients and developers seeking legal advice on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing and securitization of real estate properties, most notably multi-family assets. In 2017, the firm officially launched its real estate practice led by Kaliser and the practice continues to flourish under his leadership and the rich North Texas real estate market.
“We are very happy for Marc and it has been great having his skills on our corporate team,” said chair of the corporate group Larry Mandala. “Marc and Amanda are both impressive attorneys who give their best every day and make a great impact on the firm’s growth and expansion in new markets. This announcement is well-deserved, and we are looking forward to seeing what Marc and Amanda accomplish in 2019.”
