Munck Wilson Mandala is proud to announce the firm’s newly promoted partners Teresa Hudson and Shelley Hickey who were unanimously elected to accept partnership effective Jan. 1, 2025. Hudson is a member of the firm’s award-winning employment and labor practice and works in MWM’s Houston office. Hickey is a member of the firm’s award-winning corporate practice and works in MWM’s Uptown Dallas office.

“Teresa has been an outstanding addition to our employment and labor team. She is highly organized and energetic, and she works diligently to develop new client relationships while supporting existing ones,” said Michael McCabe, co-chair of MWM’s employment and labor practice.
“Shelley always gets it done. She is a talented lawyer with an extensive background in high stakes corporate, real estate, M&A and finance transactions. Her experience in these diverse areas has made her a valuable member of our growing transactions team. I look forward to her continuing contributions to the Firm,” said Larry Mandala, chair of MWM’s transitional law practice.
Hudson brings a dynamic legal background having worked as a senior HR executive and a strategic partner for Fortune 500 companies, Tier 1 institutions of higher education, and various non-profit organizations. She advises on compensation and benefits, talent and performance management, employee relations and retention, succession planning, leadership training, and organizational development. She has also defended employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, and the Texas Workforce Commission in claims ranging from discrimination and harassment to retaliation.
Active in the legal community, Hudson is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Federal Bar Association, and the Houston Lawyers Association. She is also deeply involved with the Houston Bar Association, serving on the DEI Committee and as chair of the Summer Associate School Information Seminars Sub-Committee. Outside the legal community, Hudson is a member of the Houston Downtown Group, and she has served as past president and current vice-president of the La Marque Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Hudson received her J.D. from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law and serves as a member of the school’s Alumni Board.
Hickey joined MWM in 2020 bringing a unique background. She began her legal career in the Pacific Northwest where she worked as an associate in private practice before taking a position as assistant city attorney, assigned to the Seattle Police Department’s Narcotics Unit and the Seattle Office of Civil Rights. After 10 years working as a Seattle ACA in various roles, she moved to Texas where she joined a boutique law firm and transitioned her practice to focus on business law, both transactional and litigation, representing clients in real estate, corporate law, and commercial litigation.
Hickey is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Washington State Bar, Dallas Bar Association, Collin County Bar Association, and the Texas Bar Foundation. She is a past member of the Richardson Rotary Club and served as president from 2011-2012. Hickey is also a graduate of Leadership Richardson. She earned her J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law.
