We are now taking applications for our 2025 Summer Associate Program. Get a sense of what life would be like working at Munck Wilson Mandala. As an MWM Summer Associate, you will explore and experience our dynamic firm, our community, and the clients we serve – from startups to Fortune 50 companies. The associate clerkship is typically 8-10 weeks and we offer first and second half summer sessions.

Our broad spectrum of practices and entrepreneurial energy allows each summer associate exceptional opportunities to work on a variety of projects related to current ongoing firm matters. Your summer experience at the firm will give you a realistic view of what it is like to practice law here.

An introduction to the firm’s culture is a crucial element of MWM’s summer program. We encourage our summer associates to get to know each other and offer social activities and events to provide extra engagement opportunities with the partners and associates across the firm. MWM believes that mentorship, feedback, and in-person collaboration are key components of an associate’s early career development. The MWM Summer Associate Program is designed to ensure that summer associates receive quality training and development, experience client-driven work within team environments, and celebrate and build upon new relationships at a variety of social events.

Intellectual Property/Patent Prosecution

Munck Wilson Mandala is looking for a 2L law student to serve as a summer clerk in its intellectual property practice, focusing on patent prosecution. Candidates must have an advanced science, math or engineering undergraduate degree (preferably electrical engineering, computer science, math, or physics). The clerkship will be for 8-10 weeks in the Dallas, Texas office.

Student Recruiting

As part of the recruiting process, MWM takes part in on-campus recruiting programs offered at many law schools nationwide, as well as participates in OCI resume collections. Check your campus recruiting office for information regarding an MWM law school visit.

I loved the diversity of the work I was able to do throughout my summer experience. I worked on a wide variety of matters encompassing interesting fact patterns and unique legal issues.

The attorneys I worked with were incredibly knowledgeable and provided immensely valuable mentorship and advice. Beyond simply learning and understanding the law, I learned what it means to be an attorney and received practical advice that will greatly benefit me throughout my career.

The clerk events that took place throughout the summer were both fun and engaging. I greatly appreciated being able to connect with the other summer associates and attorneys across practice groups while also having fun at the events.

Each attorney invested time in providing relevant background information, ensuring my comprehensive understanding of every assigned task. Additionally, their constructive feedback on projects allowed for continuous growth throughout the clerkship.

I genuinely appreciated the diverse range of work at MWM. I had the flexibility to explore multiple areas of law.
