Munck Wilson Mandala is currently seeking a litigation legal assistant for its growing Los Angeles office located in the heart of Century City to effectively support as many as four busy attorneys and/or paralegals in a highly collaborative working environment. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of litigation legal assistant or secretarial experience with significant exposure to complex commercial, intellectual property, real estate and/or labor and employment litigation in a mid to large-sized law firm.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing, finalizing and filing documents (i.e., declarations, power of attorneys, assignments, transmittals, extensions of time, information disclosure statements, etc.)
  • Preparing and finalizing client correspondence; maintaining attorney docket
  • Handling legal assistant and administrative tasks including document preparation, time entry, expense reimbursement, telephone contact, travel arrangements and calendar maintenance
  • Handling administrative confidential/sensitive firm and/or client information and providing excellent client service

Qualified candidates must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, iManage, e-filing, styles and brief formatting.  Candidate should have experience with federal and state e-filing, trial preparation, Table of Contents, and Table of Authorities. Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication, proofreading, and organizational skills. Candidates should also be detail-oriented, be able to multitask and prioritize the workload independently, have great follow up and follow through skills, and be comfortable working in a high-volume, high-energy environment. The position is on-site five days a week. Availability for some overtime is required as needed.

Munck Wilson Mandala is looking for a front desk receptionist for its Los Angeles office located in Century City. The ideal candidate is a polished professional who will interact with clients and be the first point of contact for visitors at the firm. Additional administrative duties will be performed as required (i.e. organization of inbound and outbound mail, administrative work, and general clerical support). Hours are 8:30 to 5:30. Prior office work exposure and Excel, Outlook and Word proficiency are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls in a professional manner
  • Monitor and send all voicemails and incoming fax to appropriate individuals
  • Distribute mail
  • Sign all visitors in and contact appropriate parties
  • Input work orders for building maintenance
  • Schedule conference rooms as needed
  • Maintain incoming and outgoing deliveries
  • Perform administrative tasks including drafting correspondence and filing documents
  • Enter attorneys’ time into the timekeeping system and handle expense reports as needed
  • Additional duties assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

  • Ability to maintain professionalism with visitors and employees
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Munck Wilson Mandala LLP seeks a Business Development Manager to support and implement business development strategies for a 90+ attorney full-service law firm. This role will be based in the firm’s Dallas office, potentially traveling to the firm’s additional offices as needed (Los Angeles, Austin, Houston, Waco, and South Florida). This role will lead all BD and attorney development projects and work collaboratively with the marketing team, the managing partner, and firm leaders to focus on MWM’s growth and reputation in respective markets. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of business development experience in a professional service setting (legal, accounting, consulting, architecture, health care, engineering, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead business development meetings for practice groups and service teams with agendas, action items, and targets; provide accountability and follow-up
  • Conduct industry, client, and market research, and maintain data on the firm’s referral sources, targets, and industries
  • Create relevant key messages, marketing materials, and pitch packets, including firm service descriptions
  • Manage the firm’s pitches, proposals, and responses to RFPs, and related follow-up
  • Curate the firm’s representative matters in transactional, litigation, and intellectual property services
  • Lead content marketing for the firm’s website service and people pages
  • Lead social media strategies focused on thought leadership
  • Firm sponsorship and client event strategies; track accountability and follow-up
  • Manage marketing budgets, expenses, and accounts payable
  • Identify potential speaking and sponsorship opportunities by region and industry
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the legal industry and the legal services competitive landscape
  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to work well with attorneys and staff at all levels
  • Strong analytical and research skills; attention to detail and focus on project completion
  • Content marketing and social media experience for a professional services organization
  • Ability to lead business development meetings, hold attendees accountable, and maintain an organized strategy that leads to new business
  • Assess BD opportunities and requests, track return on investment and value to the firm
  • Proactive, innovative, and forward-thinking mentality
  • Possess sound business judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity with WordPress and CRM platforms
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
